I’m sure there are many of us, after the winter we just had, thinking about what could have helped brighten our days as we trudged through all the cold and snow.
Sure, the skiing, skating and other outdoor activities were great this winter – but if it wasn’t your thing and you are just counting the days until spring blooms in full, it may be the perfect time to reflect on what home improvements will bright up your life a bit before next year.
Entertain the friends.
Once the holidays have passed, we all tend to socialize less. Putting in a wet bar is a great excuse to have a few friends over for cocktail hour.
Stay active — inside.
Why sign up for a gym membership when you can work up a nice sweat in the comfort of your own exercise room? No membership fee required.
Get the kids out of your hair.
If you have young children, you know how cooped up you can feel in the winter. Create some healthy separation between you and the kids by converting your attic or basement into a play room.
Take a seat (with a view).
Put that bay window to good use by having a window bench installed. It’s the perfect spot for morning coffee and adds storage space to boot.
Tear down those walls.
Is there a small room somewhere in your home that makes you feel claustrophobic? Taking down a wall or two can have a surprisingly large impact.
As always, we’re happy to sit down with you to discuss any remodeling projects you have in mind. To get the process started, please call us at 781-648-2835.
