Many home remodeling companies offer kitchen-and-bath remodeling services. How does a homeowner decide whom to work with? I know this can be an overwhelming decision to make.

Although our projects span all types of home remodeling, Custom’s strengths lean heavily toward kitchen and bath remodeling. The first 10 of my 20 years as a kitchen designer were spent working for kitchen and bath cabinet showrooms. This experience taught me the kitchen and bath business — and how to learn much of a client’s needs by observing what didn’t work.

Most building contractors and remodeling companies in this area typically send their clients to cabinet showrooms. There, clients are handed off to a designer who is not affiliated with the remodeling company and must fend for themselves during the kitchen/bath design, cabinet selection and budgeting processes.

As an employee at such establishments, it was mandatory not only to service multiple clients at once, but also to answer the phones, tend to walk-in prospects and assist with other coworkers’ clients if they happened to be out of the office. This juggling act, which is common in kitchen and bath showrooms, makes it extremely difficult to give clients the one-on-one attention they deserve.

Custom’s approach of having a full-service design/build kitchen-and-bath remodeling company as well as an in house kitchen and bath designer has eliminated the gap between contractor, designer and cabinetry supplier. This fact — along with our accessible Kitchen & Bath Design Center and ability to provide kitchen and bath cabinetry directly to clients from our own quality cabinetry lines — makes Custom a unique remodeling company. It also allows you to work with one entity instead of three separate organizations during your remodeling process.

Come visit our Kitchen & Bath Design Center to see an assortment of cabinetry door samples, hardware and accessories. With one-stop shopping, you’ll enjoy peace of mind.
